Jacksonville Pricing

How much does junk removal cost in Jacksonville?

One sofa is $126. A queen mattress is $103. A garage that’s quietly filled up for years is usually a half truck, $431. Every number below is what you actually pay in Jacksonville — flat, quoted from a photo before anyone drives out, with carry-out, loading and disposal already inside it.

There’s no sales tax on junk removal here, so the number you’re quoted is the number you pay. The minimum order is $75.

The two ways a job gets priced

Name the things and you get item pricing — a fixed price per piece. If you can’t, you get truck-load pricing: you’re paying for the space it takes up.

How fullPriceRoughly
1/4 truck$241a small bedroom — bed, dresser, a few boxes
3/8 truck$338a single-car garage’s back wall
1/2 truck$431the most common cleanout size we run
5/8 truck$513a two-car garage, or a small apartment
3/4 truck$587a garage plus a patio
7/8 truck$661a full two-bedroom clear-out
Full truck$732a whole-house load

What actually moves the number here

Less than people expect. Stairs don’t change your price, and neither does same-day. What moves it is weight, volume, and where the load has to go.

Among the cheapest disposal we see

Trail Ridge in Baldwin takes Class I waste at roughly $30.30/ton and C&D at about $22.71 — well under half what Orlando pays. Cheap tipping is why volume jobs price well in Duval.

Appliances and tires are separate

The City’s bulk service treats appliances and tires as their own request rather than ordinary bulk, and long pieces over about five feet fall outside it entirely.

Dense material

Concrete, tile, dirt and roofing price by weight, not by the room they take up — send a photo of a masonry pile and we’ll price it properly.

What City bulk pickup won’t take

Duval residents do get bulk collection, and for a couple of ordinary items on a scheduled day it’s free and worth using.

The gaps are specific: appliances and tires need a separate request, anything longer than roughly five feet is outside the programme, and none of it comes out of the house — it has to already be at the curb. Move-outs at the Beaches, Riverside apartment turnovers and estate clear-outs generally fail at least one of those tests.

Jacksonville pricing FAQs

Is there sales tax on junk removal in Florida?

No. Junk removal isn’t a taxable service in Florida, so the quoted number is what you pay.

Does the price change across Duval and the Beaches?

No. Riverside, San Marco, the Southside, Jacksonville Beach and Orange Park all use the same flat list.

Do you carry it out of the house?

Yes — that’s the main difference from City bulk, which only takes what’s already at the curb.

How fast can you come?

Same-day is normal if you book early, at the same price as scheduling a week out.

Do I have to be there when you arrive?

No, provided we can get to it — a garage code, an unlocked side gate in Riverside, a Beaches driveway. You get photos when the load is gone.

Can you take storm and yard debris?

Branches, fence sections and soggy furniture after a storm are normal work for us, priced the same flat way off a photo. What we can’t take is anything hazardous mixed in — fuel cans, paint, propane.

What does junk removal cost in Jacksonville?

Prices are flat and set from your photo: a sofa is $126, a queen mattress $103, a refrigerator $164, a washer $133. Loads go by truck-fill from $241, with a $75 minimum.

Is there sales tax on junk removal in Duval County?

No. The Florida Department of Revenue treats waste-collection service as nontaxable, and the county surtax only applies where the state tax does. Your quote has no tax line.

Will the City of Jacksonville pick up my old furniture?

Usually, on collection day, if it’s at the curb by 6 a.m., within five feet of it, and no piece is longer than five feet. Appliances and tires need a separate request. We’re the option when something breaks those rules or you can’t move it yourself.

Can you clear a rental before my PCS move?

Yes. Pick a date ahead of your final walkthrough, send photos of what’s staying behind, and the crew clears it. If you’ve already left town, someone else can let us in.

Do you work in Orange Park, Ponte Vedra and Yulee?

Yes. The service area covers all of Duval plus the towns within about 30 miles of City Hall, including Orange Park, Fleming Island, Nocatee, Ponte Vedra Beach, Fernandina Beach and Yulee.

Can you haul storm-damaged furniture and carpet?

Yes — soaked furniture, rolled carpet and household contents. See the storm debris section for what to separate before a crew arrives.
